Dr. Curtis Roy is a Louisiana native, born and raised in Marksville. He earned a bachelor’s degree from LSU in 1964 and received his dental degree from Loyola Dental School in 1968. After spending two years in the a U.S. Army as a captain in a dental unit, Dr. Roy opened a private dental practice in 1970 on Johnston Street in Lafayette. Dr. Roy has enjoyed serving the dental needs of Acadiana area residents for 40years.
In the course of his career Dr. Roy’s focus has been on shifting from surgical to non-surgical methods of treating periodontal disease. His goal is to educate patients – and everyone else who will listen – on preserving their teeth and having healthier mouths. His Soft Tissue Management® program worked so well for his patients that he has been invited to conduct more than 1,000 continuing education seminars in the United States and Canada, teaching other dental professionals how to address their patients’ periodontal disease non-surgically in the office. Dr. Chambers hails from Houston, Texas. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. He practiced for 12 years in the Houston area before becoming associated with Dr. Curtis H. Roy & Associates.
Dr. Chambers is an active member of the Louisiana Dental Association, Acadiana District Dental Association and American Dental Association. He focuses his practice in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, prosthodontics, implant restorations, endodontics, and the detection and treatment of periodontal disease.

Dr. Mallia was born and raised in Galveston, Texas. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1962 from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas. He served as captain in the U.S. Air Force Dental Corps from 1962 through 1964. Dr. Mallia practiced general dentistry in private practice from 1964 through 2009 and was an active staff member at St. Mary’s Hospital in Galveston for 30 years. He has extensive experience in all areas of dentistry including implant restorations, cosmetic dentistry, prosthetic appliances and soft tissue management, which includes the preservation of the gums and supporting bone below the gums. …

Dr. Mayers was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. Following four years of undergraduate study at LSU and USL, he earned a dental degree at Loyola Dental College in New Orleans. He then practiced general dentistry for four years before attending the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry, where here he obtained a Master of Periodontics degree. His thesis, “The Histological Reaction of Clinical Normal Gingival to Freezing,” was published in The Journal of the American Academy of Periodontology.
Dr. Mayers is amazed by the results he achieves in treating gum disease using laser technology and believes that Laser Periodontal Repair™ is the wave of the future.

He went on to earn a dental degree from LSU Dental School in New Orleans. He is now a national and state board-certified dentist skilled in cosmetic dentistry, fixed and removable prosthodontics, implant restorations, endodontics, and the detection and treatment of periodontal disease.
For Dr. Nguyen – whose father was a practicing dentist for 30-plus years – dentistry is a field with which he has always been familiar. A native of Vietnam who immigrated to the United States in his youth, he attended LSU as a pre-dental student and earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology.
